When life gives us lemons, we try to make lemonade, find hope and silver linings wherever possible. Many times we hear “cancer” and leap to offer emotional support, because cancer is really scary. But there are also financial tolls from being too sick to work from chemo, endless bills from treatment and hard-working patients that make too much to qualify for low income programs. That’s where Make Lemonade Project comes in. This small local foundation fundraises for Hawai'i cancer patients. The funds we’ll raise at Sunshine People Market will change a cancer patient's stars, lift their burdens and allow them to focus on healing from all the wounds cancer brings.
